Our Founders
Carin has more than 17 years of international business and consultancy experience in various sectors. She started her career in the international food and service industry in Europe, where she worked for 6 years for reputed HRM, Telecom, Energy, Insurance and Market Research Firms. She co-founded Abroader Consultancy in India in 2001. With almost 20 years of international experience, she is responsible for the European market and works with team of consultants and associates in India to handle client requirements. Carin is since 2002 a Senior Visiting Lecturer at the biggest Tourism Management university in the world (based in the Netherlands) and is the co-author of the book Corporate Communication Worldwide. She is the founding member of the India Netherlands Business Circle (Bangalore) and is a member of the Agri-Food Processing Expert Committee of the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce. - View full Profile on Linkedin
Pratap has more than 25 years of business and consultancy experience in 3 continents (Asia, Europe, North America) and 9 sectors. He started his career in the technology sector in India and moved to Europe in 1992 and held global businesss development positions with international food and technology companies in the Netherlands and Italy. In 2001, Pratap co-founded Abroader Concultancy and works since then on investment, trade and partnership opportunities for clients in Asia (including India), Europe and North America. Our Team of Consultants Kanishka Sharma (BA), Senior Consultant Kanishka is born and raised in Bangalore, studied at the Emerson College in Boston (USA) and completed her Bachelors degree with honors in Journalism & Publishing. Kanishka began her career in the US in the Media and Entertainment Sector. After this, she worked for five years as an independent consultant with leading Indian IT organizations in areas of technical documentation and HRM best practice implementation.
Kanishka has in-depth experience in building a company and team from scratch. Over a four year period (2007-2012), she was co-responsible for setting up a Green Field operation in the processing/manufacturing industry in South India – financed by an investor from the Netherlands and later on: Belgium. Her responsibilities included obtaining export and operating licenses, training the sales/export team and setting up the logistics department, liaison with (local) governmental agencies and implementing the supply chain for the production unit. She played a key role in international marketing and promoting the company through active PR efforts, handled international and local investor relations, along with setting up the human resources department and ensuring its smooth functioning through employee policies. Today, Kanishka provides Interim Management and Business Support Services to foreign companies in India during re-structuring processes or new business ventures. Kanishka is fluent in English, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi and has a basic level knowledge of French and Dutch.
Edwin Katerberg (BBA), Principle Consultant Edwin was born and raised in the Netherlands and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (European Studies) at The Hague University (the Netherlands). Since his graduation, he lived and worked in 6 different countries and has over 17 years of international work and management experience, including 15 years full time in (South) India.
Edwin is specialized in establishing new (Indian) business ventures, setting up production units, (export) supply chains, international sales teams and agricultural companies – from farm to fork. His main professional focus has been on India where he has spent 15 years on sharpening his skills in quality management, production management, international logistics, import and export regulations, international marketing, trade representation activities, licensing, general management of production units and service industries. He worked for various foreign investors and firms in the Gherkin and Food industry and was, before he entered the consultancy business, previously the director in a newly set up green field project in the South of India for 4 years, invested in by a Belgium company.
Throughout his career, Edwin had ample opportunity to navigate his way through local, state and national Indian government bodies and established professional working relations with multiple stakeholders, including Member Associations, Trade and Export Bodies, regulatory entities and educational institutions. His strong and active network in India, and skills to interact on a management level with both foreign and Indian stakeholders, have helped him to print a permanent foot on the ground in India.
Edwin speaks fluent Dutch, English, German and French and has a average understanding of Hindi and basic Tamil.
Haresh Addanki (B Com, FCA), Chartered Accountant & Financial Advisor Haresh is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 13 years of experience in the accounting profession and a with wide exposure and expertise in corporate law, corporate and service taxation, general financial (advisory) services, foreign exchange management and Reserve Bank of India regulations, for both Indian and foreign clients.
As a financial advisor, he has conducted many project reports for small and medium size enterprises and prepared investment transactions in order to make them grow. He also handles company valuations, share valuations, transactions and audits for acquisitions and Indian regulatory compliance. He has been involved in audits for both corporate and non-corporate clients, in industries such as software, healthcare, hospital, real estate, event management, consultancy services and manufacturing companies. He liaisons with both local and national Indian statutory authorities on behalf of his clients and prepares documentation to process transactions. Haresh has been practicing as a Chartered Accountant since 1998, in the name of Addanki & Co., and is the Chief Corporate Advisor to Sigma Corporate Advisors Pvt. Ltd. He works with companies from India, the Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom and the USA. Haresh speaks fluent English, Kannada and Telugu.
Anuradha Muralidharan (MA), Senior Consultant – Marketing, Research and Reporting Anuradha was born in Chennai and grew up in two cities, i.e. Chennai and Bangalore. She completed her Masters in English Literature and has taken up two Diploma post-graduation courses in Marketing (Symbiosis, Pune) and Marketing Communications (ICFAI University, Hyderabad).
With more than 20 years experience, she has worked with leading technology organisations, including HP, Akamai Technologies, Speedera Networks, Actionaid India and Eka Software in various marketing and communication roles. In Akamai, she was responsible for marketing communications and Public Relations of the company for the Asia Pacific region. As a (copy) writer, she has several published books to her credit. Her first collection of short stories was published in Delhi in 2000. Her novel was launched in October 2004. She has been commissioned by Hinduism Today, Hawaii & the US to write a series of books on the principles of Hinduism for children living in North America. She also won the Commonwealth Highly Commended Award for her short story `The Nimble Fingers’. Anuradha is fluent in English, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.
Our Office Support
Biak Sang, Executive Assistant Sang, born and raised in the state of Manipur (North East of India), is currently in his last year of Bachelor in Arts and has worked in the hospitality and retail sector, before joining our company in 2009. Sang is a very dedicated member of our team and supports our company and team in various ways. He handles the content management of our website, maintains the CRM system, interacts with all office vendors, handles day-to-day administrative tasks and takes care of general office management. Sang speaks English, Manipuri and basic Hindi and Kannada is expects to graduate in 2012.
